A spring wreath and a little bird!

In my previous post  I showed you my crochet flowers inspired by the beauty of spring colours. I had a thought in mind  before even starting to make them.

I wished for a crochet spring wreath with vibrant yellows and off whites, pearls and tiny buds to introduce spring season at home.
Yesterday this little happy dream came true and today I’m presenting you my SPRING , SUNNY WREATH!!!!

Oh , I’m so happy with how it turned out! I love the softness of the creams and tender yellows and the pearly whites. I also added some shiny soft yellow ribbons and Ta-dah!!!!!!

Another little project  that was completed at the weekend is hidden behind this box!!
Can you see it?
Here ! You can now have a better look!
Not yet??
 Yes, right guessing!!
It’s this little crochet  fellow who came to life last night and was another reason for making me very happy this weekend!
I  took the idea and the instructions about how to make it from Lucy’s blog  http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/bower-bird.html (thank you Lucy!!). I suggest you give it a try! .It’s such a fun  little project !

I must go now dear friends . I hope you enjoy the week and the beauty of the season!!
Love,

Spring!!!

Today the sun is shining and the sky is bright , the trees  are covered in  their new foliage and  blooms and buds  are everywhere!
I was really thrilled  and sooooo happy to find some time yesterday to do some colourful spring  crafting :  warm , vivid , candy  coloured  crochet  flowers  !!

I have been very busy at work lately and didn’t have the time to indulge in my beloved crafting these days. So, yesterday I felt like a little child who was offered a new toy, when I bought  some yarn to make my flowers . I love pastel  colours, pinks, light  yellows, purples,  light blues and greens .I adore colour , as you know!

Well, it didn’t  take me  long to make  a small pile of flowers and to decorate them with little flowers  and sparkling beads!
Look , aren’t they sweet ,lovely and fresh !!

I  enjoy playing with them and arranging them in different ways, among real flowers and other cute items . See also: http://creamlinen.blogspot.gr/search/label/Crochet%20flowers

Do you like my little bunnies and the tiny hens?

I adore the colours and the feeling that Easter is coming !

If you want to make some crochet flowers for Easter, here are some decorative ideas that I hope you  like.
Use a little wooden peg to attach the flower(s) onto  a paper napkin ,then  place the napkin on the plate.Your guests can keep them and remember the day at your house!!

Another idea is to   use a nice ribbon and pass it through the hole at the center of your flower and use it as a ring for the napkin or to tie the cutlery with !
For more ideas about  laying your Easter table,  click on the relevant post at the right column of my blog and I’m sure you will find some  interesting things!

‘Happy Easter’  to those of you who celebrate Easter  next week  and to all of you:  enjoy  the week ahead and feel the spring inside you!!!

Love.
