The colours of Fall

As much as I love summer and  I’m head - over- heels when the time comes for leaving the big city life and going to the beach for the summer ,I’m also mesmerized by the beauty of Nature when transformation begins and slowly , gently but surely, it is getting ready for its winter ‘rest’.

 I have always loved the first rain of September , the orange- copper colour of the leaves, the first cyclamen in the garden ,the chilly evenings when you definitely need something warm to put on your shoulders over your summer dress, the smell of the wet soil after the rain.

 Today’s post is about the colours of the season, the feeling of change in the air and the beauty of it all when you are ready to welcome it  with all your senses and mind.
Welcome to Fall then and to the abundance of colours it brings along .



Pine cones, pomegranates, dried fruit, wheat,cinnamon sticks, wood, vegetables ,fruit ...............


 and a huuuuge and extraordinarily looking caterpillar !!!

 The deep blue, incredibly bright sky  contrasts the colours of the buildings at the foot of the Acropolis hill in Athens(http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/404)

I loved  the colour of this house!

A new 'creation' inspired by autumn colours: a wreath for a dear friend that  I have recently made .

Oh , I love this bird and the colour combination is so autumnal and warm it gives me great pleasure to look at it!!

    Beautiful ... everything from the houses to the veggies to the crafts.

    Such beautiful colors and photos. You certainly captured all the colors of autumn beautifully. The vegetables look amazing.

    I love autumn also. There is nothing more spectacular than watching mother nature's rustic fall colors make their entrance.
