I’m happy Autumn is here!

I love this month !

I love all the new beginnings, hopes, activities that come with it.

When schools open ( schools start today in Greece) , I feel as if  a new year is beginning,  with  a few  fresh starts and plans.

  I love autumn colours around me , in the leaves of  trees, wild flowers, blooms in pots in the garden,

 in the sky.
 I adore the smell or wet soil after the first rains and the smell of burnt wood in the fields.

I love pine cones and acorns.

  I’m happy when seasons change, when clothes change and our lives change to suit the  weather and its challenges.I love strolling around a park while drizzling , carrying a new colourful umbrella and having the thought of a cup of hot chocolate , tea or coffee in mind, snuggling inside, under a crochet blanket. . 

I love decorating the house  with flowers and greenery that bring autumnal nature into my home. 

 I  don’t have the time to do something big and impressive ,but  I always like creating a centre piece for my sofa table with some pine cones, , pomegranates, leaves in golden , yellow or bronze colours , and if  I’m lucky enough to find some in my walks in the county , some cyclamens  - my all time favourite flowers!

I feel  a desire to use my paint brushes and paint little delicate cyclamens , with their tiny heads resting against their thick, deep green leaves covered in raindrops........
Yes, I sometimes feel carried away by a big wave of romanticism  when September comes.......
