Χειροποίητες λαμπάδες και στολισμός πασχαλινού τραπεζιού !

Πασχαλινό θέμα σήμερα  κορίτσια μου. Ελπίζω να είστε όλες καλά και να ετοιμάζεστε για τις γιορτές.  Μετά από το βαρύ, από κάθε άποψη, χειμώνα που περάσαμε, καιρός για χρώμα , φώς, λουλούδια και ζεστασιά . Χρώμα στο σπίτι μας , στα μπαλκόνια, τους κήπους και τη διάθεσή μας!🎕🎕

Ξεκινάω αυτό το blog post με κάποιες από τις λαμπάδες που έφτιαξα για το bazaar του σχολείου του μικρού μου.

 Πώς σας φαίνονται. Φτιάχνω κάθε χρόνο λαμπάδες και στεφανάκια  και πάντα με ευχαριστεί πολύ αυτή  η ‘χειροτεχνία’ .

 Αρέσει πολύ και σε όλα τα  παιδάκια να ασχοληθούν με τη μαμά και να φτιάξουν στολιδάκια  για να στολίσουν τις λαμπαδίτσες. Και του χρόνου λοιπόν!!

Κάθε χρόνο επίσης σας δίνω κάποιες ιδέες για το στολισμό του Πασχαλινού τραπεζιού. Στο side bar στην ενότητα Easter  θα βρείτε σχετικές αναρτήσεις .

Φέτος είπα να στολίσω το τραπέζι με πιο οικονομικό , πρακτικό αλλά πάντα χρωματιστό και χαρούμενο στην όψη τρόπο. Ίσως αυτή είναι και μία καλή επιλογή για Πάσχα στη εξοχή  , στο πλαίσιο ενός picnic  , ή σε εξωτερικό γενικά χώρο όπου είναι δύσκολο να μεταφερθούν γυάλινα και ακριβά σκεύη . Υπάρχουν στο εμπόριο πανέμορφα χάρτινα πιάτα και ποτηράκια  και φυσικά υπέροχες χαρτοπετσέτες  που θα δώσουν μία πολύ καλόγουστη και πρακτική επίσης νότα στο τραπέζι σας. Πήρα τα δικά μου από Jumbo και χαρτοπετσέτες από Σκλαβενίτη πραγματικά υπέροχες, με πεταλούδες και λουλούδια σε παστέλ χρώματα. Όλα πολύ όμορφα για Πάσχα. Θα χρησιμοποιήσω και τις χαρτοπετσέτες για decoupage αργότερα !

Τι έχω κάνει : όπως πάντα διαλέγω ένα όμορφο τραπεζομάντηλο στο πνεύμα της άνοιξης , διπλώνω τις χαρτοπετσέτες σαν θηκούλες και βάζω μέσα ένα λουλουδάκι, ψεύτικο ή  ακόμα καλύτερα αληθινό από τον κήπο μας ή τις γλαστρούλες μας.  Επιπλέον  βάζω ένα μικρό μανταλάκι με ένα ξύλινο λαγό!!! Η extra πινελιά πού θα κάνει τη διαφορά!

Βάζω τις πετσέτες ή δίπλα ή μέσα στα χάρτινα πιάτα , προσθέτω τα ποτηράκια και τα μαχαιροπίρουνα και φυσικά αυγοθήκες για τα κόκκινα αβγουλάκια και μπολάκια για κάποια κεράσματα, σοκολατάκια , μπισκοτάκια, κουλουράκια  κλπ. , ένα εμαγιέ βάζο με λουλούδια , και ένα απλό centerpiece ( ένας μακρόστενος , λευκός , ξύλινος δίσκος , με ένα κερί σε παστέλ χρώμα, αβγουλάκια , λαγουδάκια , κοτούλες και ότι άλλο σας αρέσει). Μία άλλη ιδέα για centerpiece είναι να χρησιμοποιήσετε ένα στεφάνι πασχαλινό και πάλι ένα κερί στο μέσον.

Τέλος υπάρχουν πιατάκια όπως αυτά στις φωτογραφίες σε σχήμα λαγού   που κάνουν ακόμα πιο παιχνιδιάρικο και εορταστικό το τραπέζι. Αρέσουν πολύ στα παιδιά  και γιατί όχι και σε όσους αισθάνονται παιδιά !!

                                   

Ελπίζω να πήρατε κάποιες ιδέες  για το Πασχαλινό τραπέζι, picnic ή barbeque και να τις προσαρμόσετε στη δική σας εκδοχή για το art de la table !💗

SPRING CENTREPIECES

Hello everybody!!!

Today’s post has to be an optimistic one despite all the crazy and hard times the whole world is facing, as the good news is: SPRING is HERE !!!  Winters are becoming more and more difficult every year and I find myself longing for brighter and longer days, bird song, blooms, buds, flowers and COLOUR. Pastel colours, soft pinks and purples , mint greens, daffodil yellows, jasmine whites, blues of the clear sky, turquoise  and emerald of the Greek islands.  

  Today’s pictures are thus plunged into colour and happy vibes that I’m sending out to all of you! : CENTREPIECES  , inspired by spring and Easter , fields and hills covered by  a soft , transparent  veil of anemones and almond tree blooms.

CENTREPIECES you can create by using things you have at home, like old baskets, pots, fake flowers, candles, even some crochet flowers and of course ribbons, butterflies, little birds, wooden hearts, etc.

You can place them on a dining room table, a sofa table, a dresser, a small table on your balcony, a table in the garden even on a bookcase and  of course on window sills, on the steps of a staircase etc.

 

I love them and make different arrangements for the different seasons.

You can find similar fake flowers to the ones I’ve used, at very low prices . You can tie them together using some thread to create a posy and then cover the stems with some fabric.  You can put them in a basket along with a couple of wreaths and why not with an enamel teapot or a favourite mug. Add some final touches using little wooden butterflies and some tiny doves.

 

 
 You can arrange your flowers the way they best suit the basket or pot you have chosen and add some smaller pots with fake greenery inside, plus some pine cones painted purple or white, some ribbons, some Easter bunnies, eggs and whatever else you fancy, and your centrepiece will be ready at no time!

 

 Why not crochet some flowers in pastel colours, use them to ornate a wooden wreath and then place it on your table with a candle at the centre.

 A very easy -to-make idea is to paint some jars using chalk paint or acrylics and glue tiny fabric flowers around its upper part .Then you can use them as vases for spring blooms. If you place a number of them together on a tray on your sofa table, they will look great!!

 I hope I’ve given you the inspiration to create your own lovely spring time centrepiece , light an aromatic candle , make yourself a cuppa of tea and  take some time to enjoy life’s little pleasures….

Easter and Spring table setting

Hello dear readers from around the world!!

Today I’m back with an easy craft and some ideas to create

 a really pretty Spring /Easter table.

First, I’ll show you how to make lovely napkin rings that will cost you almost nothing.

You will need cardboard rolls (toilet rolls are just fine), which you will:

1. Cut so that their height is about 4-5 cm .

 2. Wrap the rolls up with cotton pads . Make sure that you use some glue to keep the cotton pads in place .

 3. Wrap them again up with stripes of leftover fabric of your choice. Pastel colours are perfect for a spring table. Secure the fabric with a little glue .

 4. Add tiny crochet flowers and a buttons to make them  prettier .

I’m sure they’ll look fantastic , especially if you add some tiny fresh flowers on the napkin , or on your plates.

 Another idea is to make paper butterflies and scatter them around your table.

   Tiny blackboards are a good idea, too. You can write your guests’ names on or Easter wishes. 

  Place some tiny pots with either fresh or artificial plants in the middle of your table and why not use some extra napkin rings as egg stands!

     Choose  a tablecloth with vibrant colours with matching cushions for the chairs or benches, some lanterns in pink , red or yellow,

   

                                     vases with fresh  flowers and

  your best smile and positive vibes and be sure that you will all have a great time around your festive table !!!!
